Mike Phillips is the CEO of Sense, a Cambridge-based company providing embedded intelligence that transforms the relationship between people, homes, and the grid. Sense software is available on AMI2.0 meters and uses high resolution energy data and machine learning to drive analysis and automation for efficiency, demand flexibility, and resilience. Mike has spent his career in consumer facing AI, first as a researcher at MIT and then as the founder of SpeechWorks, which applied emerging speech recognition technology to the call center industry, and Vlingo which developed the first voice-based virtual assistant applications for mobile phones.
