John O’Brien, COO of JERA Americas, joined the global energy leader in 2021 as head of Government and Regulatory Affairs. O’Brien held prior executive leadership roles at with National Grid, Exelon, NRG, Vistra/TXU (Energy Future Holdings), and AltaGas. He was a Massachusetts State Senator from 1992 to 1998 and graduated with a BA from Brown University and a JD from Suffolk Law School, gaining admission to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985.
