Dr. Emily Stoler is a Principal Scientist in Sustainable Materials at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. She has over two decades of experience in sustainable product development and has contributed to over 80 projects in a wide variety of applications. Prior to joining the Wyss Institute, she was a founding member of the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry (WBI) where she served as a Director of Materials Science. Her work at WBI included designing, managing, and actively executing research on materials such as synthetic polymers, biopolymers (including polysaccharides and hydrogels), novel small molecules, and cocrystals and employed a number of materials processing techniques including spray drying, additive manufacturing (3D printing), twin-screw extrusion, and UV curing.
