Patricia Geli co-founded C10 Labs, where she is the Managing Partner and COO. She is an expert in public-private partnerships in emerging technology areas. She has managed large and complex investments and public-private partnerships, involving 55 countries and multiple stakeholders such as the African Union, the European Commission and the US Government to stimulate innovation and economic growth. In March, she was sworn in to serve on the Massachusetts AI Strategic Task Force, which will advise the Governor and executive branch on the state’s role in AI implementation, and find ways to encourage leading industries to adopt this technology to ensure continued success and also produce recommendations focused on startups’ ability to scale and succeed in Massachusetts.
Internationally, she has founded and scaled several high-impact investment projects. She has an executive MBA from Harvard Business School, a PhD in math/artificial neural networks from Stockholm University, was a postdoctoral Grand Challenges Associate at Princeton University, instructed MIT’s AI for Impact venture class, and served as Executive Director at Harvard Chan.
* During Patricia’s decade-long tenure at the World Bank, she led Investment Projects, securing over $1B in funding for strategic innovations across all economic sectors and led global initiatives including: seed financing for Africa CDC covering 55 countries; led the debt resolution and sector strategies during historic Presidential transition in The Gambia and Central Africa Republic; and coordinated the implementation of the Ebola emergency response in West Africa.
* During the pandemic, she co-founded Reform for Resilience (www.r4rx.org ), a global health, climate and financial resilience center to drive change through public, private, academic partnerships.
* She was founding Executive Director of Americas Hub at Harvard Chan and the Board Secretary for Reform for Resilience’s Global Secretariat, co-founded by UK PM for Innovation, Technology and Science, George Freeman MP, and co-chaired by Hon. Jose Manuel Barroso (President of European Union and International Chairman of Goldman Sachs), Hon. Malcolm Turnbull (former Prime Minister of Australia) and Prof. Michelle Williams (Dean, Harvard Chan).
* Patricia served as founding Steering Committee Member of the Global Health Equity Network as well as the Women’s Health coalition at the World Economic Forum.
* She is an Instructor/Mentor for the MIT Media Lab venture studio course “AI for Impact”.
